About Us

What We Are About

The Harris Chapel Youth have embarked on a journey to find out what it truly means to be a Christian. First, we had to ask ourselves “What is it really that God truly wants from us?” According to Paul, what God wants most from each of us…is us! Can you believe that? It’s really that simple. He doesn’t require us to keep a bunch of rules or become legalistic or religious. We’ve all tried that and failed. He just wants us to be in relationship with Him and to love Him and one another.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1 (NIV)

This verse is about God’s Lordship in our lives. After we become Christians, God wants us to surrender all that we have and all that we are to him. After all, it is His, isn’t it? Our motivation to do this should not be out of fear, but that of gratefulness for the mercy God has shown each one of us.

How do we get the best from God? Through total surrender and commitment to Him.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32 (NASB)

Where are you on the journey? Discover the answer using these questions…

1. How do you give God what He wants most?
2. How do you get God’s best for your life?
3. How do you come to grips with the real you?
4. How do you experience authentic community?
5. How do you overcome the evil aimed at you?

If you are a follower of Christ, what does it mean to be “all in“? That is what we are finding out as we go on this journey with Christ, totally surrendering all that we have and all that we are. And we are finding the goodness and the best that God has for us. Will you join us in making that decision to be “all in“?
